Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is a welfare scheme design by the Government of India so that to create awareness of education and uplift the existing services which were made for women. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme was introduced with the budget of Rupees hundred crore and according to the statistical research in 2001, the child sex ratio in India was very critical that is 927 girls / 1,000 boys, which terrifically dropped in recent years. Needs of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme
Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is constructed in the welfare of a woman in Indian, under this scheming woman of India will get all her basic rights without any compromise. We all are aware that India is lack is education as compared to other city and this main reason we are still stand in a queue of developing countries. In India woman, the literacy rate is lower than the other countries.
In India birth of child girl is consider as a curse but they forgot that we can’t even imagine life without her. Most of the people in India think education is worthless for girls because she is only born to serve her man. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojna Scheme specially designed to eradicate this mentality from Indian society. In Indian, women contribute almost half of the total population but they still lag behind men in many areas. In Indian the most pathetic reality is that most of the girls are not even allowed to be born, few are lucky enough to see this world but they have no common rights: quality education and healthcare. Child marriage is also one of the serial problems that still exist in some of the parts of our nation and girl got pregnant before she turned 18. This increased health issue and other health complication in woman health. It should be government’s first priority to empower women in a country so that they can also live their life with dignity.
In India women, upliftment is only possible if problems like illiteracy, inequality, sexual harassment and female infanticide are removed from the society. In 2015 Indian government start Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and this programme aim to create awareness about the depletion of Child Sex Ratio (CSR) and focus on improving the efficiency of many women welfare schemes.
